Don't you just hate it when..Posted by Lauryn at 08:35 PM on November 19, 2003 in College. Don't you just hate it when.....you wake up to the sound of the alarm, and even though you know you have to get up right now, there's nothing else in the world you'd rather do except burrow deep down under the covers and go back to sleep? ...you get up after pushing the snooze button four times and panic when you see that you only have thirty minutes till your first class? ...you rush like hell getting dressed, do your morning rituals really fast, grab your stuff, and run down five flights of stairs--almost tripping and falling flat on your face in the process? ...the crossing guard won't let you cross even though you know that he can clearly see the look of distress and urgency on your face? And when it is your turn to cross, some stupid asshole tries to beat the red light and you end up being thisclose to becoming roadkill? ...you take every short cut you know, walk really fast to the building of your first class, climb up three flights of stairs, only to find out that you have a free cut? And that you have three hours between now and your next class? ...you're the class beadle and you didn't know about the free cut? ...you later on realize that you were informed of the free cut by your professor, but didn't notice that you received a text message because you were too damn sleepy to look at your cell phone properly? I'm such a dork.

Googling at amazonPosted by Lauryn at 08:18 PM on November 20, 2003 in Web discoveries. I just love Amazon.com "search inside the book", a digital database that users can search for words and phrases in a text. -- and not just the title or author of the book. The new feature creates a reference library of sorts, including about 33 million pages from more than 120,000 books. I've tried it and it's quite fast.

the KCI storePosted by Lauryn at 02:02 PM on November 28, 2003 in Communities. We have a KCI store using this IBstore mod. It's a bit buggy but it's working . Read more about it at the KCI store forum. Interactive fun right? Hmm, I'm not sure if the Protagonist Community will like this hack.
