Emergency roomPosted by Lauryn at 08:45 PM on December 20, 2004 in Random Babble. Last saturday, I brought my sister to the Emergency room of The Medical City. My sister was vomitting and was feeling weak already so mom thought it would be better if she got emergency treatment there. Duh... Anyway, I was preparing for the worst...gunshot wound victims and the like. Surprise. The hospital is really new...just 6 months old so everything was really organized there. Since my sister was only 17, she was brought to the ER/pedia room. Haha. Anyway, I had to endure 3 hours watching her with my mom because the doctors wanted to observe if her vomitting would continue on after an "anti-vomitting" injection. While waiting for time, I strolled around and was surprised to see "Starbucks". It really felt like I wasn't in hospital surroundings. At 1:30 AM, we drove back home. My sister stops vomitting.

The tale of the Gingerbread ManPosted by Lauryn at 08:54 AM on December 23, 2004 in Food. Every Christmas season and ever since I could remember, my mom bakes Gingerbread men and hang them on our tree ,garlands or store them in cookie jars![]() We'd help bake and put chocolate candies as buttons. The eyes are raisins and the lips are a sliver of cherry. After all the cookies are baked and decorated, she'd put a gingerbread man on the plate and proceed to tell us the fairy tale "The Gingerbread Man". After the story, we'd be shocked to see the gingerbread man disappear from the plate. This is where the fun begins. We would search for the gingerbread man. tee heee. ![]() Of course, we were silly little kids that time and we were taken for a ride. haha.

New HaircstylePosted by Lauryn at 02:14 PM on December 23, 2004 in Cool stuff. I was bored, so I went out and got a haircut.Before. I have no idea why girls in "before" pictures look so depressed. I mean, I do like my long hair and I don't feel ugly in it or anything. Is it so their "after" pictures will look comparatively gorgeous? I originally wanted a two-inch trim, and then bangs like this. But for some reason, things just didn't work out that way. I was almost ready to freak out when I saw that my stylist made my hair a lot shorter than I wanted it to be. But when my hair was dry and the final touches were made, I was so relieved because I ended up looking like..... this. The happy "after" pic. Okay, the pictures probably don't show how thrilled I am with my hair, but I am loving it. :D
