Face AnalyzerPosted by Lauryn at 11:46 AM on January 21, 2005 in Web discoveries. Reverie discovered this Face Analyzer. Just upload a photo and it'll tell you your gender, race, intelligence level, so on and so forth. it will even tell you if you look gay or promiscuous. And mine?29% East Indian 10% Eastern European 61% Anglo Saxon Anglo Saxon? But it's accurate in saying that I'm not gay.

Google funPosted by Lauryn at 04:36 PM on November 23, 2004 in Web discoveries. Click this http://www.google.com/language_toolsIn the translate text area, type out "my mom is cool and nice" without the quotes. Then select to translate from english to spanish, and submit. Now, take the returned text, copy and paste it back into the translate text area, and select to translate it from spanish to english. Can we say "lost in translation"?

Gmail invites are not available at this timePosted by Lauryn at 07:06 AM on May 6, 2004 in Web discoveries. Random readers here are asking me for free invites to a gmail account. I should make this clear....I have never received any free gmail invites from my account. PERIOD. A few days ago, I wrote " google mail feedback" about it and here is their reply:---------- Gmail Team gmail -support@google.com to me More options 6:49am (28 minutes ago) Hello Lauren, Thank you for your email. Because Gmail is in a limited test period, we occasionally issue a small number of new user invitations. The Gmail team is gathering feedback and suggestions from our current users, and as we make progress with our service, we issue more invitations. We are unable to offer more invitations at this time. Thank you for your patience while we work to make Gmail generally available. Sincerely, The Gmail Team

The insanityPosted by Lauryn at 10:40 AM on May 1, 2004 in Web discoveries. Gmai invites in ebay . How insane. As of now there are about 130 invitations being sold and this auction is up to $168 Dollars right now!If their purpose is to reserve usernames, they are wasting their money. You know when I first signed up, it said "lauren" was not available so I used my other nick. Just today, I emailed the lauren username and guess what, mail undelivered. ----------------- Mail Delivery Subsystem This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: lauren@gmail.com ----- Original message ----- Maybe gmail is holding on to the popular usernames. Just a thought! But yeah, I love the web interface of gmail! Edit: I just found out that Google blocked off common first names and last names. Those are often targeted for spam and viruses.
